UV420 means the lens blocks ultraviolet light up to 420 nanometers — slightly further into the spectrum than the standard UV400 rating, which stops at 400nm. Both block essentially all harmful UVA and UVB rays; UV420 also filters a portion of high-energy visible (blue-violet) light. Every pair we stock is genuine UV400 or UV420 rated.
